bi-fold shutter door measuring

HI, I need some help, I am designing a bi-fold shutter for a sliding glass door-inside mount- and I am having trouble calculating the deductions that I need to make for the panel sizes. Can anyone help me?

deductions for what? the hardware or mounting strips or what?

you're making 7 foot tall shutters to cover a sliding glass door? or are you using louvered closet doors?

Find your narrowest dimention and shortest...bifold will come out into room ..find the shortest there also as to prevent dragging ...Allow clearence for mats and sagging ....
