Hi All,

I had replaced an electric water heater for my aunt about a month ago and since that time, we have been having air in the lines after a time. This is after say, overnight and the water is first turned on. It's mostly out of the hot water side of the bathroom which is nearest the water heater piping downstairs but occasionally out of the cold side too.

I have heard of an air vent valve for water lines but am wondering what some of you guys might think could be causing the problem?

Thanks

hi Headstamp,
- do you have a bladder tank (usually pale blue or red) or a galv. tank (usually green or silver.) It sounds like air is leaking from the tank to supply line. Watch the pressure gauge, and whern it gets down to about 30, measure air pressure at top of tank. post back and tell us what it is.
