I am currently repairing my home after the recent hurricanes down here in Florida, and i am in desperate need of screen for my pool enclosure,i am capable of doing the rescreen myself, but cannot find anyone who will sell me the screen. They say that i must be a contractor in order to sell me any screen. Can anyone help me please i need a place where i can buy 100 ft. rolls of screen. actual measurements are 96",72", and 84" x 100'.
18-14 screen
thank you, JBMilam

jbmilam,
Welcome to DoItYourself.com and the Deck forum.
I'm a little confused. (Actually, I'm VERY confused!) You need 100' rolls in widths of 72", 84", and 96"?? Are these the NARROW dimensions of the frames you need to rescreen?? And just how big is this room that you need 300' of screening??? (I think the suppliers that you have been talking to are expecting you to rescreen YOUR room, NOT 1/2 the state of Florida!!!)
Yes, HD and Lowes sell screening, but only in widths up to 48". (That covers 99.99% of the rescreen market.) In 20 years of replacing windows and rescreening screen frames, I have NEVER come across the need for a screening material larger than 48".

The pool "cages" down here typically are 6-8 feet or so between the aluminum framing.. Never heard you had to be a contractor to get the wider material, though.

Gees, I need 400' of 96" wide and that is just for the roof. And that is not even a very large enclosure like some that the neighbors have.

Guess none of that experience was in Florida.
