My husband and I just moved to rural Utah to a house that has a septic system. The house has 2 bathrooms, and a utility room with washer & dryer. In our master bath, we noticed the shower drain has been slow. We used a plunger, and what looks like lint was coming up. Could this be from the washer? Even though on Drano, it says safe for septic systems, would you recommend using it? We are a bit leery about putting chemicals down the drain here. We need advice. Thanks.

shellibz, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I would not use a caustic drain cleaner with a septic tank. They are also not much good for slow drains as they go past it and do little good. Try a product called Drain Care. It is an enzyme drain cleaner that clings to the clog and eats it. It is safe for septic systems. You can find it at the Big Box stores, Ace and even Walmart. It takes overnight but it works. Good luck.
