Is there a place you can go or software available that you can design your own ductwork system for a heat pump. It's the most important part and I want it done right

You can try this web sight for it.

Be best to have a sheetmetal shop do this since they got the equipment to make the seams and joints.

There are software products out there however they take a long time to learn and can be rather expensive. If you want the job done correctly I would hire a reputable HVAC company to come in and do the work. They know how duct work should be constructed and run to give the best efficency. There are different sizes of duct work for different applications. Get 3 bids and ask why the difference in price. You always have the option to ask why something is done or not done. Make yourself informed before, during and after the duct work installation.
Good luck and post back.

Who ever you get to do the job will want to do their own duct and pipe lay out . When they have to back it.
