Old round ceiling heating vent

Could anyone tell me how to remove this vent for either cleaning, ceiling painting or to just remove it? It would appear that you push up on the center two rings and twist and those two rings would drop out and then your probably have to unscrew a couple of screws to remove the outer ring. When I push up and turn the inner 2 rings it does turn about a 1/2 an inch but does not drop out. Any solutions?

Some of the round like that when you push up they stay there so they push the air down more than along the ceiling and for summer you just pull them down on the inside. You sure you dont have 4 screws in the outer ring there.

No, I don't see any screws on the outer ring. It fits flush against the ceiling. I tried to turn the outer ring as well, without any luck. Any other suggestions?

There are soo many diffrent styles out there..

Some has screws... some you turn and pull.. some you just give a good yank...

Are you able to take a pix and post it or e mail it?
