I/m having new carpet installed, pulled up the old carpet, was wondering how to get the floor from squeaking when walked on, there is no way to get under the floor.
the steps squeak and the bedroom floors also, my home is a 2 story row home. I heard baking soda sprinkled on the floor then rubbed in would work, and also i heard talcum powder works too.
anybody have any suggests what to do
thanks

You will need to screw the floor down better. Rent a screw gun and then find the joists and screw it down. Squeeks are a sign of moveement. stop the movveemmment, stop the squeeks.
