Sprayer Problem. I sprayed a walnut table top with high gloss varnish diluted 3:1 for a Wagner sprayer. Applied only one coat. There are indentations all over the table in the varnish. I prepared table according to instructions and used a sanding sealer. Why the little dot indentations and it is not smooth. jp

Jocko:
Unfortunately, you have been attacked by the silcone bug. Many people think silcone can only affect a lacquer finish, but such is not the case.
Molecular particles of silicone caused the little indentations in your finish, know as "fish eyes".
Unfortunately, the only solution I know is to strip, clean everthing with a godo lacquer thinner wash, and try again.
You might want to check with your local paint store for fish-eye remover made specifically for varnish. I haven't sprayed in a number of years and don't remember whether the stuff I used to use with lacquer will work with varnish or not.It just takes a couple of drops per quart of sprayable material - no more fish eye.
