I am new to this forums and ned some advise.
I am in a process of finishing my basement and would like to convert the cold room into Laundry. What kind of insulation methods shoild i be looking at.

indusbreed, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
The only thing you have to worry about is keeping the room warm enough that the pipes won't freeze. This will also protect your washing machine as not all the water drains and it will also freeze. Good luck with your project.

I will be giving teh heat vent into the laundry room. Just wanted to know if i need to do anything specific before i do the framing on the walls. The Framing guys were saying something about Styrofoam Insulation and then the Black Overlapping Paper??? before doing the framing.

Think they were referring to a vapor barrier. This is just usually a heavy Mil plasic. Not sure what they meant about styrofoam. You will probably be putting in fiberglas bats inbetween the studs. Are your water and sewer lines already there?
