My engine ceased, and the short block is no longer made. The engine model is 402707-1235-01. I was told by Puey61 that Briggs part numbers 492102 or 499945 would do the trick (499945 is supposedly preferred because it has pressure lube and oil filter). In any event ... I'm having a hard time finding either short block ... any ideas?

Try doing a Google search for 'small engine warehouse.' They have the 492102 short block. I didn't see the other number, but then I stopped looking when I found the other.
