I am in the process of finishing my basement. I have a few cracks in the floor. They are about 1/16 or less wide and do not seep water. I dont want any surprises after I put my flooring down. It was suggested to me to grind the cracks and fill with a self leveling polyeurethane (sp) caulk. Any opinions or suggestions? My concern isn't that water will seep but rather the flooring(carpet) will draw moisture up.

Newsy, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
You can use the caulk or there are concrete sealers that are in the masonary family. DryLoc, ThoroSeal and probably a few more. Check the uses on the labels to make an informed decision. Good luck.
