Hi,
I originally posted this question on the 'Cleaning' forum. Ladybug suggested I may find an answer here.
I spilled superglue on a varnished wood door and then, in panic, wiped it with a damp cloth. (I know, I know...)
It left a white streaked patch.
Is there any way to salvage the situation or do I have to sand / re-varnish the door?
Thank you all for any suggestions,
Bill

Bill:
A little repair work is in order.
Sand out the area affected with 240 wet/dry paper lubricated with water. See if you can get the white out before running through the finish. Whether you can or not, you'll need to scuff the entire door (at least that side) and recoat with the same finish.
Sorry, but I don't have any easy tricks in my bag for this one.

Hi George,
Thanks for the good advice.
I reckoned I was in trouble, but had to ask - just in case!
