I purchased a beautiful carved mahogany headboard for my daughter's bedroom, with the intent to paint it white. I sanded it well, tacked it off, applied a primer coat and 2 coats of semigloss enamel. (latex) Now a pink color has bled through the paint. What is it and what can I do??

Dana:
You need to sand (scuff) the pink areas completely and lightly sand the entire headboard. Apply KILZ, or another stain blocker primer, then repaint.
KILZ is available in an aerosol, if you'd prefer that. Sand after priming, of course.
If you feel inclined, I'd appreciate your dropping me an email with the brand name of the primer you used.
