My under-the-sink R/O system leaks water from the air gap in the collar of the faucit, when the tank is recharging. I have cleaned the drain line and made sure that it is not blocked where it enters the main drain, but during recharge it still drains water from the air gap. The water goes under the collar and then saturates the board under the sink. I did not seal the collar to the sink.... that would probably keep the water from seeping under the sink, but it is only a band aid. Can you suggest anything. The system is a 5 stage system I bought from Costco with an ad-on infrared tube.

The infared is actually a UV (ultraviolet) light but as to the faucet leak... Remove the drain line from the faucet and clean the entrie length IF the drain line is slanted/sloped downhill from the faucet. If it isn't, rearrange it so the water can drain out of it without any restriction or slowing of the gravity flow. Also clean out the tubing connection on the faucet and anything you can get out of the air gap overflow hole/sump. Sanitizing the sump and tubing with a bit of chlorinated water would be a good idea; you can use an eyedropper etc..

I didn't know I could remove the tube from the faucit. Will try that and clean it. The tube goes straight down then bends into the main drain at a 90º angle. Doesn't seem to have a venturi, but I'll check.

Yes there are a few faucets that removing the lines is difficult but most are removable. I don't know what you are referring to as a venturi; ROs don't have a venturi.
