I am trying to build a large closet in basement with some shelving. Probably 18-20" deep with 2 bi-fold doors. I'l be building this in the corner. Here is the issue: The foundation is 12" block about 1/2 way up ann then 8" so it is fatter at the bottom. What is the best way to frame this out so I can build shelves??? The last time I tried to nail or screw anything into the block wall was almost impossible....

Tapcon concrete anchors should do the trick. You have to buy the masonary bit to fit the anchors you buy but they work well. I would frame out the open end with predrilled 2x2's into the wall and then you can finish the end of the closet using the 2x2's to screw into. Just a thought. Good luck with your project.
