Cement wall shelf

Hi,
I have a situation where I have a cement wall covered by thin enough wall paneling. I'm a tall guy (6'4'') and I would like to put my recording equipment at eye level when I stand up. Any suggestions? I'm predicting the weight may be over 500 pounds.

For 500#, I don't know if regular hardware and fasteners are enough. Though it depends on the area that the weight is spread over. I would use expansion bolts set deep into concrete and epoxied. I think Strong-Tie makes some, so you can contact them and find out their shear load capacity.

Since this is a basemant application, is the ceiling finished? I would seriously think about using a hanger system from the joists above, plus anchoring to the wall. Just a thought. Good luck with your project.
