A friend of mine had his Whirlpool range die Thanksgiving morning, while they were cooking. :eek: He said it made a snap, crackle, and pop sound, and the oven door latch locked. As I was invited over for dinner, he and I pulled it out, and the only noise it would make was the solenoid that controlled the door was buzzing. It's a smooth top, model number BY396LX60. Anyone got any idea where to start looking for a fix?
