Our home is 2.5 years old. When we are using one of the master bathroom sinks on the 2nd floor we can hear a banging noise on the 1st floor. Its pretty consistent each time we use that sink. What can we do to stop the noise? Is the drain clogged?

There are various problems that could cause the symptoms you describe.
You need to isolate where the banging is coming from and when.
Is the noise present only when using the hot water? Only the cold? Both?
Is it present when draining?
