I am putting up my Christmas tree and have a prelit artificial tree. The first (bottom) set of lights come on, but nothing above it. I figure it is probably the fuse on the light strand. It uses a 125V fuse, but I am absolutely clueless as to how to remove the old fuse and replace (it doesn't come out easily - have tried prying it loose with no success). Any suggestions.... Thanks

Hi Sboyd517,
Welcome to the DIY Forums.
The fuses are usually located in the plug. there is a small cover that slides over the fuses. Some can be quite stubborn but will come out.The fuse should be between several clips and as they are very small are hard to get to.I would check the instructions that came with your tree as the problem may not be the fuse. Some light strings(not many) still knock out the whole string if one light is defective. The instructions that come with the tree or the 1-800 number on the box will help you find out.
Good luck and happy holidays
