I have a jd 14sb walk behind self propeled mower taht was given to me. when i spray starter flued in it, it will run for a few secounds then dies. i was told maybe the electroinc moduel needs replaced any help would be greatly appreciated. . thanks don :confused:

Hello don0527!

You'll need to disassemble and clean the carburetor. I would reccomend using a dip-type cleaner, available at most auto parts stores. It is in a gallon pail and is made by companies like berryman's, chemdip, and napa stores sell their own version.

If it runs on starter fluid, it is getting spark. Follow Cheese's advise and give the carb a good cleaning, then the gas will replace the starter fluid as a fuel source.
