Insulation, Radiant and Vapor Barriers - Sealing basement ceiling insulation, help!!

I have an unfinished basement with fiberglass insulation in the ceiling between the studs. The yellow fiberglass is exposed and held up with small steel rods.

My wife wants me to either staple some paper up there to cover the fiberglass or some other alternative...preferable less expensive than finishing the ceiling.

What I dont want to do is something that is going to trap moisture and screw up my flooring...I do have a dehumifier and live in a high humidity area. the walls are mostly insulated with overlying sheetrock, except where there is the concrete walls...

Any recommendations? The basement is about 1700 square feet that we carpeted and made into a huge playroom, a gym, and a hobby area, as well as a room for storage.....

If the insulation has a face paper on it that is up against your floor then you do not want to put another covering on the bottom side. The original paper goes toward the surface you want insulated. It would trap moisture. Good luck.

so if I wanted to finish the ceiling, how would I accomplish this....

could I nail up some foam board or staple up some paper to cover the insulation?

I was misleading on my previous post. What I should have said was do not use another vapor barrier such as plastic to cover it. You can use drywall. foam or paper if you wish. It all breathes and will not cause a problem. Sorry about other post.
