I have to get my gas water heater replaced with 75gal unit. I am looking at 2 products, kenmore and GE. Kenmore is with 12 yrs tank and parts and one yr labor for $925 installed and GE through Home depot is 6 yrs parts/tank/labor for $725 installed. Which one is better value/tank? Please let me know.

Not to hype either one, but warranty is something to think about on a WH. However, on both it appears labor is not included after the first year. Labor cost is probably almost equal to cost of tank.

HD for about $79 will give you I think 2 additional years of labor coverage. Sears probably offers same deal.

I do not believe that is true. If it is, it is a very good deal. Get it in WRITING.
