When my well seemingly quit and I had no idea what to do. The local well people didn't seem to care and never called me back. I needed water and I was afraid it could be an empty well.. I knew NOTHING! I didn't have thousands to spend to fix it.. or even hundreds... I cried.. then I realized THE INTERNET KNOWS ALL!

So I went a searching.. and this place came up.. I began reading it, along with alot of info. I figured out I had a 1 1/2" 1p 230V Submersable pump with a Thompson motor. I found out it was all from sear. I had a Bladder tank from Sears. I found all the possible problems. I went out with a line tester, philips, flathead, and what I could find here (and 1 or 2 other pages.. mostly here). The only things I knew where it was not filling, there was water a few days before, it had been having pressure problems and the water stopped ONE time.. and the motor would jump up when it shut off before (which at the time I was told was normal from the seller of the home).

I tested the boxes and checked everything. I figured it was not dry because wells dont just STOP when they were working well for a while.. I could jiggle the place where the pump was and it would cycle.. ONCE.. so I knew the motor/pump worked! I then found out about this Pressure Switch. I couldn't find it (you guys DO need to put some pictures up on this site ;P so when you name a part people know WHERE and what it is). Upon mapping on paper the system I figured out where it was.. tested it.. Power went in.. nothing came out.. Well maybe that was it.. I shut off power, ran without the switch (well empty just for 15-20 secs.. dont wanna blow up my tanks or kill my pump) and it RAN.. so that was it.. So I checked sears.. found they didnt sell Furna's switches anymore and I needed it now (so no online). I said.. fudge it and got the 18.99 (plus tax) 40/60 PSI switch. Using what I knew from here I installed the thing. Wire its INCORRECT at first (oh hey man L and M.. I didnt know ment line and motor.. I do NOW!). Rewired it, reset breaker.. and it RAN! I turned on the hose outside, emptying the tank, it cycled on it's own!

I am now enjoying water, RUNNING WATER! Indoor PLUMPING! My god.. Thank you people ;) I will use you guys again for future info! You saved me god knows (the guy could have lied to me, but now I know enough to be dangerous so they cant screw me ;P). 20$ vs 100 or MORE! Do-It-Yourself ROCKS THE HOUSE :)
