View Full Version : Fan Coil Constant Output Temperature...How?

I have a hydronic heating system with a boiler and an air handler set up with a thermostat in a very typical fashion. The system cycles with a demand for heat as in any typical system.

What I would like to have is a control system that measures the temperature exiting the air handler and then adjusts the temperature of the heating coil in the unit so that a constant output temperature is maintained reguardless of the return air temperature going into the air handler.

I'm figuring I will need some type of additional boiler loop feeding the coil, a mixing valve of some sort or a variable speed pump, and of course some sort of digital controler with a thermocouple to control it all. Thus the problem: What combination of these things do I need and how should I put it all toghether. To make the system a little easier I'm planning on having the fan run all the time and at a constant CFM.

I have tried looking on the internet for some sort of controller that sounds like it would work but have not had any luck at all yet. Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed.
