I have a Bradford White water heater. I replaced the thermolcuppling and the pilot light gas line but piolt light goes out when i release the red pilot light button .please help me it has been 4 weeks scence i had hot water. sue currin

Be sure the thermocouple is positioned within the pilot flame path. It needs to be in the flame to create a minute amount of electrical current to hold the gas valve open. Check that, and we can work from there.
Just curious--Why did you replace the pilot gas line?

Me two--- Why The new pilot line.
Nat or LP?? ,.How is the gas pressure there ok?
Did you clean the pilot out and the venturi around it when you put the new T/C in. Is it as high and set as the old one did?? If all is as it should be then its on to the gas valve.

Make sure the contact on the end of the thermocouple is clean and tight,...I sometimes clean the end of the thermocouple with an eraser (The electrical connector end) The flame should be established for a minute before releasing the button. If it goes out, Replace the gas valve.
