I am removing the sliding glass doors from a fiberglass shower stall. I have take out the doors and the frame, but now I am trying to remove the silicon caulk that sealed the frame. I used a razor to remove most of it, but there is still visible lines of residue that cannot be removed with a razor. I tried rubbing it off with a rag and some acetone but that didn't do much. Is there any product or method I can use to get rid of this stuff? Thanks!

You may have to use a fine steel wool and CAREFULLY remove it.
Good luck.

I just had the same situation, but on tile.

It cleaned up with some vinegar and a green scrub pad.

Vinegar and a fiberglass safe scrubber should do for you.

There is also 3M Indoor/Outdoor Caulk Remover (2153) to try. I'm trying it on metal pieces now.

Hi guys,
- I have to do this fairly often and have found a good way for me (but not necessarily everyone) I use a sharp 1/2" wood chisel, and at just the right angle it will lift silicone without leaving a mark or a scratch. You must have a very steady hand which is why I say it may not suit everyone. I've found that wire wool and even the vigorous use of green pads can scratch fibreglas.
