Paver Patio

I finished putting in a new paver patio yesterday. I swept sand over the top while running a compactor over the pavers. I swept the patio down today and see there are still several spaces between the pavers that are not filled with sand. Can I just sweep more sand into those spaces or do I need to run the compactor over it again to make sure the sand gets deep into the spaces?

After filling all the spaces between the pavers can I use a light spray from the hose to wash off all the dust from the sand I can't get swept up? :confused:

Pour sand in the cracks and hit the paver with a rubber mallet a few times (hit lightly, not bashing it). This will work to fix the smaller areas. Yes you can wash the dust off the pavers, just use a light spray.
