Is the a big difference between the non electronic air filter and the new electronic air cleaners? I am trying to decide which one would be a better choice for out new heat pump. I am looking for something with low maintanance. What is the differences between the two?

For get them then . The electric filter works very good. IF you keep them clean all the time . Like take the core out and wash them every two weeks. People like them at the start then its just to much work and the home and the AC coil get all the dirt. we take out more than we sell. A good pleated filter up to a MERV 5 there is a spray that you can add to them on the intake side helps some . Then there is like the Air bear filter that come in 2"--4"--5"thick. they work well. like to say new filter every 30 to 90 days and you got it made.

yep, aprilaire spaceguard or trion airbear media would be my choice
