this may sound nuts, but can i install baseboard heater pipes under my floor and tiles? I am making a large bathroom on the top floor of my house by combining two small rooms and want to heat the floors. There are now two small radiators that I want to disconnect and in their place, pipe baseboard type pipes under the floor between the joists and tile over them. I think this should work because since radiant floor heating normally requires a lower heat source and I have never felt my top floor radiators get very hot, unlike the radiators on my first floor. I know I could buy conventional systems both electrical and hydrolic but this idea make more sence to me, besides it will be alot cheaper and won't require any special ordering. Any thoughts?
