I have roughly an 80ft long x 10ft wide old concrete driveway which is too far gone to repair. It's the style where concrete was poured along the sides for under your cars tires, but there's grass down the center  .
Can asphalt be poured right over everything with no real prep work, or does the old concrete have to come up first?
Any guestimates on the cost for asphalting per sqft in NJ assuming all necessary prep work is done myself?
Thank You! :)

You need stone under the blacktop. If you put it on top of the ground area it will sink into it.
