hi,
i just connected a new light fixture and there is a faint humming sound coming from the fixture. also, i added a dimmer switch to what used to be a normal switch that controls the light. when the light is a full strength, the humming isn't noticeable, but when it gets dimmed, that when the humming starts.
does any one have any ideas what it could be? or, is this normal?
thanks!

Not abnormal. Different brand of bulbs might make less noise.
