I see a lot of discussion on Ariens, Simplicity, and Toro snowblowers (all good machines), but no one seems to say much about Deere walkbehind blowers. I have a little experience with a 20 plus year old 8 HP Deere, but nothing newer than that. So are the new ones junk? legends? or just to darned expensive? I've looked them over at my local Deere dealer, and they seemed to be alright for the most part. Hard for me to say for sure as I didn't start one, or try to manuver it around.

Think you hit when you said expensive. Guess they want to be a commercial use company. I was surprised when they started selling their mowers at Home Depot at a reasonable price for a Deere. Then I looked at it. Deck is thin and probably has more traits of a Murray (no offense) than a Deere.
