Help getting into attic

A few years ago, had an attic fan installed into the only opening in the attic. The ceiling is now leaking near the fan. Is there an easy way of removing the fan so we can get back ontp the attic? Thank you.

Remove the vanes. The fan likely sits in position, held by gravity in the framing. Just lift it straight up. By the way, how did the installer get out of the attic?
