I Spoke With The Company That is going To Put In A New Heat Pump For Us Dec 12. I Have Read Your Posts About Electronic Air Cleaners For My Heatpump But The Company Is Stating That The New Air Cleaners Are Improved Now And The Filters You Can Clean Every Six Months In A Dishwasher. If I Do Not Go With This Electronic Air Cleaner What Type Of Good Media Filters Are There To Use In A York Model Eireo24506 2 Tons 15.7 Seer 24,000 Btu's Hspf 8.8
Air Handler/coil York 3 Tons Model Nivsb1206/g2f046h17itv0701
Heat 10 Kw Vertical Unit
trion air bear or aprilaire spaceguard are excellent media filters

From what I understand the new Honeywell EAC is a 360º turn around from the old school ones.

But when I redo my system it's getting a 4" pleated.

what up keep is there with a air cleaner?
electronic cleaners need regular maintenance, cleaning of pre and post filters as well as cells.
that new honeywell is interesting, but will still need maintenance

They cut the inside cell in half way way back so it can fit in a dishwasher not new at all. Even had one filter that would wash itself -Ha. Had to take that one back to the company. We just had a post here about the guy found out it cost $16 for 4 wires to go back into the cleaner and fix it. Go air bear 5" .Or purolator has filters 1"-2"-and 4" pleated
