The capert salespeople at the stores I have been visiting pretty much recommend 100% Nylon versus an primarily Olefin blend. Does it really last longer?
What is the real scoop, I don't want to 'pad' their comission check if I don't have to!
Thanks

A nylon will out perform an Olefin when it comes to resiliency IF the density and twist are the same.
I know a 70 oz olefin will out perform a 35 ounce nylon.
So the answer is, "it depends"

Olefin is naturaly stain resistant and colorfast. but it doesnt wear as good.

No salesperson should make Olefin out as a bad product. Why would their showroom have it?
do they sell crap?

Chances are, you will want the nylon, but if you buy a thick thick poly, then it will be very plush and you will pay the same as a thinner nylon.
