Hi Guys, I just posted about zone valves but it looks as though it may be the thermostat. I have a device called a accustat, which is a thermostat that you put a preset bulb into and whenever the temp goes below the bulbs temp it calls for heat. My question is should you get continuity on the red and white terminals on the back when the thermostat calls for heat? I can get continuity in between the clips that hold the bulb in but not on the back where you wire it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Actually they work in reverse of what you would think. If you put a jumper on the clips that hold the bulb, the heat goes off. Sometmes the mercury gets a gap in it and it acts weird. I think you have to heat it up gradually until the gap in the mercury gets pushed into one end or the other. Maybe you could get some info from the company. I can't remember who makes them.

Thanks Ken, I just sit here and wait for your reply! PSG Controls make the accustat but I can't find much on the web. Thanks again.

I think I still have a few on the shelf and can look in the docs if you need something you can't find elsewhere.
(hope you didn't sit up all night waiting for this one)
