Just had Sears replace the thermal fuse for $150 for my 7 year old Kenmore gas dryer. Last week started smelling an unusual odor, thought initially it might be a smell from the belt, so I let the dryer cool before drying the next load and everything seemed ok. Starting last night there was a loud "squeal" during the Wrinkle Guard cycle (dryer turns a couple of times every 5 minutes or so until the clothes cool down). Wife tried to start the dryer this morning and there is a "transformer" sound (buzzing) and it sounds like the motor is trying to start, but won't. I think I need a new motor....How difficult is this to replace and is there a place to find a good diagram and instructions?

Thanks,

Jim

PS: Got it apart now....How do you get the clips or bands that hold the motor in off? Got the back one off with some pliers, but the front one doesn't seem to compress as well.
