My sealed system continually loses pressure - needing topping up from the water main every two weeks or so. Any ideas why and what the solution might be ?

Inspect every inch of pipe you can get at and identify the areas you can't see. There is no reason you should lose water and no way to find it except visually or to isolate areas and monitor the pressure with those areas isolated. Sorry I can't offer a better way.
