I’m getting ready to tile a small bathroom floor (5’x5’) with 3x6 tumbled marble in a herringbone pattern. I’ve already put down the cement board in mortar and have the pattern lay out done, but I have a question as to sealing the tile. I’ve been told that I should seal each tile before I install, let them dry then install the tiles, grout and reseal. Does this sound right or should I just install the tiles, grout and seal? I’m worried about the grout/mortar getting captured in the crevasses of the tumbled marble...

Don't bother sealing the tile until it's installed. While you don't have to seal it until after grouting, it will make the grout clean up much easier if you do. Also, don't expect to get the nooks and crannies perfectly cleaned out either. It is so labor intensive and it looks fine with the grout filling the holes anyway.
