Hi guys, I have a boiler with two zones, first and second floor. The second floor is getting no heat. When I manually open the zone valve via the lever the pipe gets hot immediately. I'm thinking that I just need to replace the head. Does that sound right? Also the circulator never stops running. Are these problems related. Thanks in advance for the help.

If the head is green in color it is lukely that the two problems are connected. Sometimes the thermal compound blows out of the inside and gets on the contacts and holds them closed. If the head is gold it is less likely but either way, it sounds like you need a power head. Don't take them off with power applied or you may damage them. The good ones that is.
