Dimming Halogen Track Lighting??

Hi, I have some Hampton Bay track lighting installed. The lights take halogen 50w style J (or something like that) bulbs. Is it possible to install a dimmer for this? Someone told me that halogen lights shouldn't have dimmers. Any advice you could give would be great! Thanks!

A halogen-rated dimmer will work fine. Make sure it is designed for line or low voltage, whichever you have.
