Hello, I put in my ceramic tiles about 2 years ago. I used a sealer on them and now it looks like the grout (was white) is starting to get yellow and rough. I would like to know how I can restore the whiteness. Canadian tire is trying to sell some kind of stuff in a bottle that you brush on to restore the white and says it will last for years. Also, I would like to re-seal it again as I made some repairs. Can I re-seal or do I have to remove old grout?

Aquamix makes some pretty good cleaners and sealers, Grout Deep Clean is real good and if this is just like a shower or countertop they sell a packaged deal with the sealer included, round $20-$25 for the whole deal. This stuff is nontoxic, etc real safe & easy to use. You can find them at www.aquamix.com, I'm sure you could also locate something suitable at the DIY store located here on the site.

If this is real nasty, which doesn't sound like the case, they also make acid based cleaners, make sure that you read & follow all user directions and safety warnings if your opt to use these type of products. I'll say that again, make sure that you read & follow all user directions and safety warnings if your opt to use these type of products. But yeah you can clean & reseal the grout to look good as new.

You might also want to take a look at the how-to links located on this page here on the site. http://doityourself.com/ceramic/index.shtml Hope that helps out & good luck!
