Install interior doors before trim?

We are finishing the basement and have come to a point where the drywall is almost complete. So far, we have used contractors to do everything but my boyfriend wants to install the trim on his own.

I don't know if the interior doors need to be installed before we put the trim up or if we can do it after. We are installing prehung doors.

Need advice.

Install the doors first, then the base and other trim.

Wouldn't that be a bit difficult to get the pre-hung door in, if you installed the trim first? :confused:
