When I switch the control from "auto" to "on", I can get the fan to blow, but I still can't get heat. Also, when the control is set to "auto", the fan will not even blow. Help!!!

INFO INFO. Then some one can try and help you. Elec furnace, AC, heat pump. Set at auto on the fan and set to heat with tstat pushed up what runs??? or turns on???

You need to explain your situation more clearly. What brand product and thermostat are you using. What can you observe? Anything unusual? Is it just the heat, will the air conditioning still work?
