Hello!!

My heating system is a 2 zone (upstairs and downstairs). The upstairs uses 110v thermostat ad the downstairs uses the 23v thermo. I have found it hard to find a 110v thermo so I was thinking about converting it to the 23v to give me moe options. There is a box on the boiler that is like a transformer that controls the downstairs heat. It looked fialry simple to convert I am not sure what kind of part that is and where I can get one. Or should I have someone do it for me?

Thanks!
Bill

Without seeing what you have, it is tough for us to say what to do. If you can snap a picture of the box that the thermostat wire goes into (with the cover off) maybe we can take a shot at it.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I don't know how/can't post images even though I have some nice ones for you.

Well, I'll try to explain a bit here. The upstairs circuit uses plain old 110v (I suppose I could just throw a 15A 110v light switch in there if I had to).

The downstairs has a Honeywell RA89A that (I guess) uses the 24v thermostats and uses a relay to turn the circulator/pump thingy on. There is thermostat wire coming out tht goes the the thermostat and 110VAC into and out of the "box"

So what I would like to do is add another RA89A and put the upstairs onto the 24v system OR better yet, get an RA89A (I think it may be the RA832A) where I can have 1 box and have both thermostats go to it and control both zones and it will look nicer too!

Thanks!
