Over time, I'm getting white deposits on some glassware washed in my dishwasher. I suspect the water conditioner. I have an EcoWater 3000 about 8 years old. Conditioned water tests: 0 gpg hardness, 0.0 ppm Iron, 7.2 pH. As the water is conditioned, I use little dish detergent. Whitish deposit is not on all glassware, and it is not removed by soaking is white vinegar. How do I determine the problem, the cause, and the correction?

Usually it is due to the detergent you use and the amount used. In hard water it doesn't cause a problem but in soft water it damages glass. Once damaged there is no 'fix' so you replace the glasses and hand wash them or cut WAY back on the detergent and try others. Detergent or dish washer manufacturers will tell you about this problem.
