Hello
I live in MD. and am thinking of buying a townhouse with electric forced hot air heat. Is this relatively the same as gas forced hot air that I'm accustomed to. I know a fan blows over a heated ekectric coil(better than the strip element in manufactured homes). I used to live in New England and was used to baseboard heat which was cost efficient b/c it retained the heat and kept generating it after the thermostat stopped calling.
What's your opinion of this forced hot air electric heat? I plan to use ceiling fans to drive the heat down from the ceiling in the winter.
Thanx
Pete

A lot is in where you are. What the fuel cost is there.
go to http://www.warmair.net and compare fuel cost for there. We have been heavy in electric heat for years. Now about all that we put in are heatpumps. A much better return for your fuel dollar than just the electric heat alone.
