I had a house built about 6 months ago, and it seems I have a moisture problem in the garage. Upon removing anything I've placed on the floor, moisture is evident, and in some cases, mold even begins to grow. I've talked to the "warranty supervisor" about it, and he insists that its normal, although no other houses around me have this issue. He says sealing it with a concrete sealer will fix the problem, however most sealers require that the floor not exhibit this behavior prior to application. A concrete installer I spoke to said that sometimes concrete just cures in such a way that it allow moisture to wick through like this; has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible that the vapor barrier was forgotten, or that it was just a bad batch of concrete? Any suggestions as to how I tackle this?
Thanks!
