Newbie here,

I have problems in 2 areas. In my bathroom we have polished marble countertops. Our maid service cleaned the counter with someting harsh. Right around the sinks, there are little blotches that wont come out of the marble. The finish has been damaged. How can I get this out, then restore the polish?

Second problem. In our kitchen we have dark granite countertops. We love them except no matter what we clean them with, there is a slight haze. We bought a cleaner/polish kit from home depot. No luck. What can I clean these with on a regular basis that wont streak / leave a haze?

Granite & marble are natural stone products and must be kept sealed, cleaned, and maintained ONLY with products recommended for natural stone. If cleaning and sealing with recommended products do not restore shine, then professional buffing may be required.

I'd be on the cleaning company to have it professionally restored. If they damage something, it's their job to fix it. That's why they carry insurance. Don't feel bad about it either. Clean your counter tops with water only should be fine. If they were not sealed before being installed, you may want to have them professionally redone by a professional stone restorer. That haze could actually be minor etching
