The bedroom ceiling is 12' tall. The room is 17' x 21'. Of the 17' dimension, 5' of the ceiling is pitched. I can only access the flat portion from above (12'x21'). A switched junction boax was installed when the house was built so it's just a matter of installing the lights.
- How many cans should I install and where?
- What size cans and wattage should I use?
- Should I install a row of lights close to where the pitched ceiling meets the flat ceiling?

Thanks in advance!!
Dan

Usually master bedrooms get by without much light. Maybe a couple of bedside reading lights and a floor lamp somewhere. Lighting always depends on activities, and activities in a master bedroom usually don't require much light. So it's not really possible to give any general guidelines. It's really up to you and your lifestyle.
